Dance

The Dance Department mission is to take dance out of the static classic structure and push it towards more immersive environments, partner with choreographers that create innovative movement, and cross-pollinate different arts to create exciting, immersive work that takes dance to a new level for a millennial audience.

The Inconvenience made the "Best Of The Year" list for TimeOut, being named one of the "Top Ten Places We'd Never Seen a Dance Performance Before".

Fly Honey Show 2011

The Fly Honey Show has brought back burlesque, mixed it with elements of musical comedy and cabaret, and presented a spectacular show that celebrates Chicago skin--with class.  Directed by Director of Dance, Erin Kilmurray, the evening showcases the talent and fun all to benefit The Inconvenience’s season.
Backed by a band and set and light work from Inconvenience members John Holt and Nic Jones, the pieces range from contemporary movement pieces to full-blown, high-kicking, clothes-shredding ladies with an attitude.
